It would be difficult to overstate the significance and stature of this wine. Sigrid consistently rates among the greatest Chardonnays of the world and is definitely in contention for the best domestic Chardonnay in America. This wine transcends the silly civil war between the “oaked” and “un-oaked” Chardonnay camps and finds perfection somewhere in the middle. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried this exceptional Chardonnay!
- From the winery:
Now a sommelier favorite among Michelin-starred restaurants across the United States and internationally. Sigrid is out estate grown, Biodynamic Chardonnay harvested from the Bergström Vineyard, Silice Vineyard, and the Gregory Ranch. Representing 30 months of our efforts each vintage, the Sigrid Chardonnay is our finest expression of Willamette Valley regional character for this varietal. I have never been more proud of a wine as I am of our Chardonnays these days, and Sigrid is leading the way.
This wine has an elegant bouquet of citrus blossoms and fruits, flint, smoke, sweet baking spices and salted citrus slices topped with cream. The aromas follow through into the flavor profile with citrus flavors like lime, lemon and grapefruit as well as granny smith apple and green Anjou pear. Texturally magnificent and accented with a heady, floral perfume of white flowers and spiced crème fraiche.
Drink at cellar temperature from 2018 – 2028
